MARKETING / SOCIAL MEDIA COORDINATOR
Health Services – Three Steps to Sophisticated Empowered Xtraordinary You Program
Oversee the development and implementation of the SAMSHA-funded Substance Abuse and HIV/AIDS Prevention and Social Media Project. Develop the project’s social media network and engage local social media and stakeholders to participate in the project. Recruit and train peers in the development of prevention messages and observance events. Develop and implement creative marketing and social media plans to deliver substance and HIV/AIDS prevention messages to the target community. Promote and maintain the project’s presence in social medial and in the local community. Monitor program and social media outcomes and develop program reports. Perform other related duties as required.
Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Health Communications, or a related field, with three years of experience in marketing programs via social media including Facebook, Twitter, and others. Knowledge of or connection to local social media networks preferred. Must have excellent verbal communication, interpersonal, organizational, and computer skills. Knowledge of graphic design and web design programs highly desired. Must have excellent writing skills and experience in developing health messaging to targeted populations. Must be able to work sensitively and effectively with individuals of diverse educational, socio-economic and cultural backgrounds.
Please note: this position is part-time for 21 hours per week and temporary through September 28, 2014. Continued employment is contingent upon receipt of additional funding.
