PERSONNEL SYSTEMS SPECIALIST
Human Resources

Responsible for the day-to-day management of the systems and procedures for processing all personnel transactions. Prepare personnel systems report specifications and design report layouts. Ensure data and report integrity after periodic updates to personnel systems. Analyze reports and compile statistical data for submission to management, as well as federal, state, and local agencies. Review monthly reports to ensure employees are coded correctly in the system and inform appropriate staff of any discrepancies. Develop/design Crystal Reports. Document all procedures related to position; work with other HR staff and ITS staff to maintain an internal procedures repository for the benefit of all HR staff. Responsible for updating data tables and ensuring data integrity. Produce, print, and distribute all employee Change of Status forms. Run reports for the Affirmative Action Program. Responsible for technology training within the HR department, both as an instructor and as the main point of contact with ABCD’s ITS department. Perform other related duties as required.

Must have substantial experience in writing and running Crystal Reports, managing personnel data in a Human Resources Management system, as well as designing, programming, and working with relational databases (SQL Server, Access, FoxPro). Some knowledge of procedural programming a plus. Strong problem-solving, decision-making, communication, and organizational skills with attention to detail required. Minimum of an Associate’s degree in Computer Science or related field, and/or three to five years of equivalent experience required. Must be able to work sensitively and effectively with individuals of diverse educational, socio-economic, and cultural backgrounds.
