SCATTERED SITE COORDINATOR
Housing and Homelessness Department
Manage on-site program operations including supervising staff, managing facilities, and monitoring the conduct of residents. Coordinate client placements and discharges. Work with property managers regarding payments, facilities and maintenance management, new enrollees and discharges, and conflicts and resolutions. Serve as liaison between ABCD and shelter providers, state housing divisions, court system, and other supporting agencies. Order and ensure timely payments of supplies and furnishings. Ensure the maintenance and upkeep of all units. Coordinate/conduct weekly unit inspections and ensure that clients abide by the rules and regulations of the property and program. Provide staff support at court hearings, appeals, and landlord mediation. Supervise, train, and support housing and case management staff. Facilitate team meetings. Develop and maintain a direct service operating system within the Housing department. Maintain monthly statistics on shelter caseloads, placements, and referrals. Provide weekly reports to the Director of Housing. Perform other related duties as required.
Demonstrated experience and knowledge of homeless and housing issues, housing subsidies, and housing law. Previous experience working in a shelter or with shelter population; property management experience preferred. Ability to represent the agency at provider meetings. Must have exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Bilingual skills a plus. Must be able to handle a variety of assignments and work evenings if needed. Valid driver’s license required. Must pass a CORI check. Minimum of a high school diploma/GED with three to five years of supervisory experience, or an Associate’s degree with one to three years of supervisory experience required. Must be able to work sensitively and effectively with individuals of diverse educational, socio-economic, and cultural backgrounds.
