TEACHER - ARRA
Early Learning Program - Madison Park
Provide infants and toddlers with a nurturing, safe, and healthy environment to help them develop socially, intellectually, physically, and emotionally in a manner appropriate to their age and stage of development in relationship to the overall goal of social competency. Develop activities and opportunities in accordance with Child Development Performance Standards. Involve parents in the educational aspects of the program to increase their knowledge and understanding of skills and experiences in child growth, education, and development, specifically with infants and toddlers. Attend to the physical and environmental needs of the children to ensure their growth and well-being. Perform other related duties as required.
Minimum of a high school diploma or GED, with at least one EEC or related college course and up to twelve months of relevant experience with infants/toddlers in a center-based setting required. CDA must be achieved within one year of hire. Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education and at least one year of experience working with infants and toddlers preferred. Good interpersonal skills required. Bilingual skills preferred. Must be able to work sensitively and effectively with children and families of diverse educational, socio-economic, and cultural backgrounds.
