STABILIZATION WORKERS - HPP - ARRA
Housing and Homelessness Department - Homelessness Prevention Program
Work with the Community Housing Specialist to develop stabilization plans for at-risk clients within the community to prevent homelessness. Maintain relationships with clients and community resources. Maintain accurate case notes and document activities of clients. Responsible for outreach activities to engage participants in neighborhoods. Continue to identify resources and solicit donations to assist households in maintaining housing. Work closely with the Community Outreach and Resource Developer on public awareness campaigns. Provide weekly and monthly reports. Perform other related duties as required.
Must have good written and verbal communication skills. Some experience and knowledge of issues related to housing, homelessness, and subsidies preferred. Ability to handle a variety of assignments required. Must be able to work some evenings if necessary. Valid driver’s license required. Bilingual skills a plus. Must pass a CORI check. Minimum of a high school diploma or GED, with college level courses towards a degree. Must have at least one to three years of relevant experience. Must be able to work sensitively and effectively with individuals of diverse educational, socio-economic, and cultural backgrounds.
