NUTRITION CASE MANAGER
Head Start and Children's Services
Assist with the overall citywide implementation of Head Start nutritional services and ensure compliance with regulations and policies. Work with appropriate staff to ensure that Head Start children’s files have nutrition-related assessment data and documentation, as well as provide referrals and follow-up services when necessary. Utilize the agency’s computerized program to input and maintain nutrition tracking information on children and families. Monitor programs to ensure that nutrition learning experiences are implemented in classrooms and parent workshops. Ensure food safety practices are being followed in classrooms and kitchens. Review food service records for appropriate documentation. Participate in and assist with trainings. Perform other related duties as required.
Working knowledge of neighborhoods served by ABCD Head Start required. Must be willing to travel to all ABCD Head Start programs throughout Boston. Proven ability to work independently in an organized manner required. Must have knowledge of word processing and data entry computer programs. Bilingual skills relevant to the population served preferred. Minimum of an Associate’s degree in Early Education, Human Services, or a related field required. Must have at least one to three years of experience in an office setting. Bachelor’s degree preferred. Must be able to work sensitively and effectively with individuals of diverse socio-economic and cultural backgrounds.
