OPERATION RE-ENTRY COORDINATOR
South End Neighborhood Action Program (SNAP)
Coordinate and implement the Operation Re-Entry, Ex-Offenders program by assessing the needs of the entire client base through databases, surveys, research, and outreach. Provide casework and follow-up services to individuals looking to transition back into local communities. Maintain accurate and updated records on all clients. Advise the Director and assess staff in planning and implementing new programs for existing clients or targeted groups not receiving services. Work closely with other ABCD programs, community agencies, and businesses to organize and promote informational activities for clients. Implement long and short range educational and self-sufficiency initiatives for youth, adults, and seniors. Attend community events to establish a linkage and working relationship between SNAP and other community organizations with a focus on the Re-entry initiative. Provide weekly reports to the Director. Perform other related duties as required.
Knowledge of resources for ex-offenders in the Greater Boston area required. Must be motivated by the challenge of taking the Re-entry program to the next level. Demonstrated ability to take initiative and work independently required. Strong judgment, interpersonal, and written and verbal communication skills required. Minimum of a high School diploma or GED required. Must have at least one to three years of relevant experience. Bachelor’s degree with at least one year of relevant experience preferred. Must be able to work sensitively and effectively with individuals of diverse educational, socio-economic, and cultural backgrounds.
